Apart from regular sale and service of trauma and arthroscopic devices and equipment, VanMed’s principle mission is to provide solutions to assist surgeons to effectively treat various pathologies, using leading orthopaedic devices, orthobiologic and surgical solutions. With the current trend of treating local patients abroad, VanMed is committed to ensure we provide professional education for local healthcare providers, to ensure that there is world class treatment available within Kenya, that can be availed to patients locally, ensuring medical tourism is an influx and not an outflow. Together with a significant financial investment and a powerhouse of talent and knowledge, VanMed together with Arthrex have set the pace for consistent, continuous and sustainable development in the Orthopaedic field. A sound strategic roll out plan has been put into place, with the first stage concentrating on Nairobi, with follow through phases throughout Kenya and beyond. Vanmed in conjunction with Arthrex have already invested in training surgeons at the Arthrex Training Lab in Munich, and facilitating attendance to open meetings globally.
